The company started up again in Bavaria on the site of a former arms factory and made a significant contribution to the rebuilding efforts in Munich, supplying wooden roof frameworks, doors and windows to the building industry. In the early 50’s the company entered the specialist market of building housings for radios and televisions.

The manufacture of dashboards for the legendary BMW V8 marked the beginning of a new era for the company as a supplier for the OEMs in 1953. The production of housings for radios and televisions was brought to an end.

In 1990 an external management team was put in place and in order to 
improve the capitalization of the company, investment was made by Goldman& Sachs and CVC. In the same year, FLEXIFROM was developed as a carrier material based on a renewable raw material. Three years later EMPEFLEX which had similar qualities was also developed. As both products were suitable for usage in large-scale production, companies including BMW, Daimler, Opel, Audi and VW soon became loyal customers.
